IASP launches its Call for Contributions

Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT), the leading and pioneering science and technology town in Iran is getting ready to host next year’s IASP World Conference in the historical and beautiful city of Isfahan. The conference will be the 35^thIASP World Conference on science parks and Areas of Innovation that will take place in Isfahan, Iran, from the 2^nd – 5^th September 2018 .

The theme of the conference is “Towards sustainable cities and communities: fostering innovation ecosystems” and so IASP and ISTT are now launching the Call for Contributions to invite you to submit your proposals for a paperpresentation.

To guide paper authors, in this Call for Contributions IASP has outlined four tentative plenary and seven parallel sessions from which you can choose to submit your paper proposal outlines:

PLENARY SESSION 1 - Cities, STPs and other areas of innovation: challenges and strategies

PLENARY SESSION 2 – New tools and functions for cities and areas of innovation

PLENARY SESSION 3 – Community challenges and social innovation

PLENARY SESSION 4 – Entrepreneurship for growth and sustainability in STPs and AOIs

Parallel session 1 – Open Innovation and City Challenges

Parallel session 2 – Old infrastructure for the new economy

Parallel session 3 – ICT for sustainable development: the role of STPs and other AOIs

Parallel session 4 – The Productive City (Factory City)

Parallel session 5 – Global Alliances for Internationalization

Parallel session 6 – Cities, STPs and other AOIs: attracting talent

Parallel session 7 – Companies addressing SDGs

Details about the sessions as well as the technical specifications for submission of abstracts can be found on the conference website at www.iasp2018isfahan.com. The deadline for submission is 25th October 2017 and an online system for submission of paper proposals will open later this month at https://www.iasp.ws/My-Submissions.

The Steering Committee will assess papers based on content and relevance to the sessions. ISTT aims to include papers from the broadest possible range of expertise and perspectives.
